Logos are exciting work for me because they call upon my skills as a typographer. I learned those skills simply because I fell in love with the alphabet. There is no other explanation.
For 30 years I owned and worked with 19th century letterpress equipment, setting type by hand for printing. And, as recently as a year ago, I designed a new typeface from scratch.
