Web Design
Web sites designed and coded to web standards. They are clean and fast and cross-browser compliant. I work with small businesses and artists at affordable rates.
VT2000 Experience
Here, for those that prefer just the facts, are the facts.
- I've been designing for the web since 1995.
- 30+ years as a graphic designer, typographer, and photographer
- Major clients have included U.S. Robotics, Selmer Music Company, and the
French Paper Company
- Two and two-thirds degrees in English, which means I can provide content as well as design for it.
- I come from a long line of Vermont farmers
As a photographer and painter, I have had to investigate methods for protecting my own images on the web. What I have learned goes into your site, goes into protecting your images. See right sidebar for a bit more info.
VERMONT ARTISTS: Talking about your web site plans costs nothing—give me a call at 802.309.3344. And you can see detailed information about the VT2000 Basic Artist Site Package.
And, a bit of news: Last year St. Albans became the second home for the Village
Frame Shoppe, already an institution in Enosburg, it's now on Main Street at the
back of RSVP. I recommend DJ's work, and especially the thoughtfulness he puts into it.

can protect your images.
As an artist, your images are your intellectual property. And, you want to show your work. Doing so on the internet is almost a requirement these days. But, there are issues surrounding how those images are handled.
There is NO way to completely protect web images from a determined thief. But, there are various methods for making it extemely difficult for them. At best, all that a determined hijacker could get would be a small, low resolution image. And, fast appearing on the internet, are programs that will track image use. There is some extra work involved in this, but it's still not over the top as far as expense is concerned.
If you do your own web design, I have the first installment of a set of tutorials that explains some of the required steps involved in basic image protection.
